This week's Illustration Friday topic is Phoenix, so I drew actor Joaquin Phoenix. Walk the Line and Quills are excellent films he's in.

Excellent Jeanette! My husband wanted me to do Joaquin as Johnny Cash, but then he asked me to do River Phoenix rising from the ashes. We miss that kid and his fine acting.
Anyway, great job!!

I LOVE the movie Quills! Outstanding work. And, yes...I love referencing Martinis -- almost as much as I enjoy drinking them :) Happy New Year.
