Underwater Pods

I bought a Moleskine sketchbook so I could less obviously doodle at work. Here's one I whipped up between customers. The sooner I figure out what organic endives look like, the more drawing time I will aquire.

This is awesome. Everyone is getting moleskins. I feel so un hip. :(

Matisse and Vincent Van Gogh used to use Moleskines. Even Hemingway did. They were pretty cool, but "hip"?

Nice illustration, Jeannette. Really fantastical and delightful.

I may be hip but I dont really like the notebook. I just needed something small. The color turns me off and my micron doesnt come out as juicy. It looks like it fades into pencil.

Anything with an octopus in it grabs my attention. Much prefer the underwater realm than atmospheric realm.

I bought a damn moleskin and before I could even try it out someone swiped it right off my desk (in my house!). Now I'll never be hip because there's no way I'm buying another one.

as a strict vegetarian (other than burgers, fish, chicken, and dairy products...but I absolutely won't drink milk) I mourn the abuse of moles for drawing pleasure...that being said...I like the child-like innocent qualities of the latest round of your sketches...

Uh boy, the Moleskine craze is catching over in the US! I like them too, but they are so expensive that I am too uptight on actually drawing in them. Instead I bought a calendar.

My personal alternative are cheapo dutch HEMA-sketchbooks. Thick and with thin paper. Great for shameless doodles. The only downside is that the paper is plain clean white instead of creamy yellow white. And you can only buy them in the Netherlands.

Drawing at work - I did that too, but I was too nervous that anybody would see me (no idea why I felt that way). It is a bit of an adventure.

I've bought things like that in the past- I have a wee leather one sitting next to me. But the pressure is too much- you feel you have to produce works of art instead of doodles, so they end up unused which is worse! Of course Jeannette my darling, your work is great art.
