What is that on the floor next to you in the first frame?..it looks like it's trying to escape.

Walpole Mall, eh. You're way too fucking cool J-girl.

Hang on, have you just given away our 'secret' in the last panel (ie that we're about as lonely and fucked as the next person but we're feeding the fires of sympathy through drawings und stuff). That's like a magician telling everyone how he does the sawing-the-lady-in-half trick.

A great double-fuck-finger pose in the first panel. So...intense!

And you can´t make me feel bad for you with this comic if you also have a best friend that makes stuff toys for your birthday! If you´re in Japan you can spend nights at internet cafes reading mangas from huge shelves. They seem to smoke like crazy there (which sort of bumps a dent into whatever conception I have of japanese people).

Aside from that, if I were both really lonely AND in the US, I would spend my evening like that, too. Or maybe caving myself in for 48-hour sessions of World Of Warcraft, avoiding bathroom breaks with the help of empty soda bottles (I guess this is what lonely males do in the US).

Besides: You´re really productive lately. I am too, but I can´t catch up with posting ;)

THIS POST IS WAY TOO LONG TO MAKE ME SEEM LIKE A NORMAL PERSON ANYMORE.

You're sense of humour is why we get along so well! Fuck i love you!

just think with our genius tinkering of Canadian immigration procedure you never have to spend another year near the Walpole Mall!

The thing in the first panel is my apron.

And Fridays arent really that important, because I work Saturdays and Sundays, too. But on principal I feel like I should be doing something more significant that waiting in check-out lines.

Like, getting drunk.

Jesus. I think that's the first time I've heard Jurky use the F-word. As for my mother...I wish I could say the same.

Effing and blinding is Ma, God bless her little cotton socks.

Actually you've managed to get everyone fucking swearing on these comments. Even Jon.

Fuck yeah!

I sat in my car last night in the Walmart parking lot, sketching out my own version of this on bits of lined notebook paper. Laundromat, buying AA batteries, and a really bad milkshake from a tiny take-out place.

Thanks for the inspiration...made me appreciate the moment...kinda.

You might like to know that you're officially now on Prozacville as a Twin Town/Sister City.

Yippee-kay-yay.

Now can I have a decent side banner with my 'cute' little prozac pill on it purleeeeeeeeez.

I used to somehow have the conception that there are many word filters around. One particular word-filter at the SomethingAwful.com forums would replace "Fuck" with "gently caress" and "fucking" with "loving".

"Gently caress, man. Gently caress this loving guy."

I thought I discovered some new, ironic slang. But I guess I was wrong. I am a loving idiot.

don't worry j, of course we all think you're cool. fucking cool that is. no matter how you spend your evenings.

Sums up the fucking reality of an artist living in the modern fucking world.

As Hogarth said when he was drawing in Gin lane in 1751 "Bollocks what the fuck am I doing here....Give me some gin you cunt"

So you are as cool as Hogarth .

I only draw because I'm lonely. On a really bad night I get all my drawings out and we have a little party. That's why nearly all my drawings have people in them.

this comic is great! the "fuck-the-world" sentiment is so apparent. I also liked the board game. I didn't see the Walpole Mall, but I did see a big building with a giant inflatable padlock across it. we don't have things like that in philadelphia.

hey why didnt you invite me to taco bell!?!?!?! :-( !!! it's cuz you wanted to draw the comic, isnt it.
