Liz in a Squirrel Skin Suit (say Furry and die)

Jeannette Langmead Illustration Sketchblog Liz Squirrel

An artistic response to this.

I feel like I've been failing as far as updatage goes, but I have two great excuses. One: my scanner wasnt working (apparently it is supposed to be plugged in). Two: I'm working on a few (yes count em, few) long term projects that arent ready to be released to the masses just yet. And I dont want to bore you all with my daily scribble scrabbles of eyeballs and stick figure comics of me at my register screaming "SOMEBODY KILL ME!"

And I guess a few days ago I was really happy about moving to Japan, but now Im mostly overwhelmed and stressed and feel like puking and pooping myself all the time.

When did this become a diary? I apologize.

Just one more thing:

Grandpa makes us wear the hat.

I guess liz has an excuse for not accepting my friend request. she has to worry about that thing growing out of her ass.

I've missed a lot, as I've been very, very busy lately. Going to Japan? Wow, what a growth opportunity!

Frankly, I like hearing about your personal life! That's where my rubber meets the road.

I'm still up for a portrait exchange. Send me a pic. And I still want the stacked rocks. Email me.

I can well understand why Japan has suddenly become scary - I mean it's a hell of a thing to do, but I bet you'll be okay when you get there - many people (when I looked into this - I applied to Nova then changed my mind, I taught in Nepal instead) end up liking Japan so much they stay there for good. And anyway, we want drawings! Comics! From Japan! You have a duty to your reading public.

Okay calmed down now.

Like the birthday hat.

Nice hat.
It's good to have traditions.

My mum used to make me wear my dead grandmars underpants.

Japan sounds fun.
Just teach the Japanese to say strange things.

Nice hat. Also: you've been tagged (http://red-handed.blogspot.com/2007/07/tagged.html). I know, I know.

I get my own cake because it's vegan and no one else will eat it. They had cupcakes.

BB, I think I'll do what my dad always said he wanted to do with my little sister, and teach them the wrong words for things. My dad used to say he'd call chairs "butt holders" and things like that, so when Taylor started school she'd call everything by the wrong name.

And I'll tell Grandpa that everyone loves the hat.

Please post that pic again in high resolution, I really need this to carry on with my life, it´s that funny. (The cake one!)

Scanners must be plugged in indeed, but some of them must even be TURNED ON, it´s true! The ones in our school have the power switch somewhere hidden underneath them, maybe because the manufacturers though we could use a little challenge in our lifes.

Very nice post!

How did you get nineteen comments on this post (actually twenty including mine). I hate you.

Steve: I think it was the hat. Or maybe it is because I dont change my blog address every three weeks.

Um, yes, that might be it.
