How to Read Cards

Jeannette Langmead Illustration Sketchblog How to Read Cards
Wu Wan King

One of six illustrations I did for Darryl Berger's short story, How to Read Cards. He's a damn good writer and Im constantly bugging him to send me his work. Im glad he suckered me into collaborating with him. The story was excellent and the drawings were a lot of fun.

Yeah, that stuff could work great in magazines. Actually, illustrating short stories is a very efficent drawing routine. You don´t have to wonder endlessly each day what to draw, but can swing from one text to another.

I guess I´ll have to put some more pics of me somewhere to correct your somehow distorted image of me. (Okay, those old pics from "That´s me" were kinda bad, I look pretty chubby there somehow.)

Eh, that last guy in the white shirt is someone I don´t even know (but yeah, he looks kinda like a wannabe-womanizer). The guy on the second pic in the white t-shirt sitting on the couch reminds me of Vladimir Putin, however. Luckily, he´s very okay.
